My love for water started at a very young age and continued on through High School where I was a lifeguard and on the Swimming and Water Polo team and then onto the team at the University of Utah.
Naturally when I had my first child I was looking for a program that was more than blowing bubbles and singing songs. After being let down by many typical “Mommy and Me” classes (which were fun but severely lacking in giving my child any actual skills) I was on the hunt for something more for my child. I wanted my kids to not only love the water, but to have the skills to be safe in it. I tried a couple different programs around SLC that claimed to teach those skills but nothing was even close to when I found ISR. I quickly fell in love with ISR, and while both of my kids were completing initial lessons, I knew I had to be a part of this awesome program!
I completed the ISR instructor training program in 2015, which includes a minimum of 160 hours supervised in-water training, plus education and testing in subjects such as child behavioral and developmental psychology and extensive training in physiology.
There is no doubt in my mind that Infant Swimming Resource offers the best, safest, and most effective Self-Rescue technique I have ever come across. I would love the opportunity to work with your family and help your child to not only love the water but to be safe and become an aquatic problem solver!
